Harlem
When I think of The Harlem Renaissance, I think of jazz and art. Harlem is a combination of the two.

All of the Lights
Music heavily inspires my abstract visuals giving me a path to follow in intentionally creating a design lacking a clear destination. All of the Lights is based upon the album Graduation by Kanye West. It translates Graduation’s bright uplifting spirit into a tangible and colorful representation.

BLM
Created during the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, this is my offering of the collective strength, vision, and persevering spirits of our ancestors as fuel in continuing our fight for justice, equality, racial harmony.

Collard Greens
Collard Greens is another visual representation inspired by “Collard Greens”, a song written by SchoolBoy Q. featuring Kendrick Lamar. The lettering was expertly done by my mother.

Beta
My first pet was a dark blue betta fish named Little Blue. This painting not only commemorates one of my earliest childhood memories, but symbolizes my growth as a person. A “beta” is a prototype, a model, a work in progress not yet ready to be released. We all may feel like prototypes in a way, a concept always being tweaked, edited, and getting one step closer to the final product.

Breakthrough
Breakthrough symbolizes the ability to morph into any space you occupy. What does it mean to you? .

Solemn
A cropped painting of a sculpture entitled Solemn by my mother because of her belief that it resembles David from the Bible.
Don’t try too hard to always stick to a plan because art doesn’t always happen according to plan.
